Who is Amanda Ethol ?
Natukunda Amanda Ethol, is a trailblazing young female founder and climate advocate from Uganda with an educational background in Agriculture and Sustainable Land Use and management. She founded EcoErudites Uganda, an organization on a mission to steer a transition away for communities from use of biomass fuels particularly charcoal and firewood as cooking fuel sources to use of clean cooking alternatives especially biogas. In the same spirit of steering the energy transition away from use of biomass fuels, she founded Alma’h Gardeners Village an organization dedicated to restore green cover across the continent through tree growing and sustainable agriculture practices.
Ethol is currently pursuing the Entrepreneurship for Impact (E4) Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Global Business and Sustainability to further fuel her passion for climate action and social entrepreneurship under ALTIS Graduate School of Business and Society and Uganda Martyrs University Kampala. She is a passionate BeVisioneer under the Mercedes-Benz Fellowship and a 2025 fellow of the Women in Leadership & Development Global Fellowship Program. As a passionate climate action advocate with Fridays For Future Uganda, Ethol has emerged as a leading voice in promoting and encouraging uptake of clean cooking solution biogas, across Africa as well as intentional green cover restoration.
