Recognizing that the path to sustainability requires more than technological innovations, Ethol Amanda has emerged as a powerful and strategic voice driving the shift toward clean cooking across Africa. She integrates story telling and cultural perspectives into the clean cooking narrative. She has given several keynote speeches such as the Women in Climate Change Conference, Renewable Energy Conference & Expo, Driving Eco Sustainability Podcast and many others. She is not just transforming how communities cook, but how they perceive clean cooking energy.
Through her advocacy, Ethol illuminates the far-reaching consequences of environmental degradation from deforestation to climate instability while challenging the reckless practices that threaten ecosystems and communities. Her relentless pursuit of climate justice drives the movement for equitable access to clean cooking solutions, reducing biomass dependency and accelerating reforestation and green cover restoration as key activities in environment restoration.
Community engagements & education: Through EcoErudites Uganda, Ethol leads transformative outreach and education initiatives, equipping communities with the knowledge and tools to embrace environmental conservation. She not only raises awareness about the benefits and functionality of biogas but also fosters engaging discussions on clean cooking, addressing misconceptions and cultural barriers. By challenging traditional reliance on charcoal and firewood, she drives mindset shifts, inspiring individuals and households to adopt cooking gas as a sustainable alternative promoting environmental stewardship and long-term systemic change.
Ethol is the founder of EcoErudites Uganda an organization dedicated to transforming organic waste into environmentally friendly products to meet the needs of communities such as cooking fuel biogas and organic fertilizers.
Ethol is the visionary founder of Alma'h Gardeners Village, an organization dedicated to cultivating healthy, ready-to-transplant seedlings, including vegetables, trees, herbs, spices, flowers, and more. With a mission to restore green cover and revitalize ecosystems, Alma'h Gardeners Village champions tree planting, sustainable landscaping, farm establishment, and urban gardening—fostering a greener, more resilient environment while promoting food security and biodiversity.
